Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use puddingpotlids.com or place an order with Pudding Pot Lids. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us

You can contact us at: puddingpotlids@gmail.com
Business: Pudding Pot Lids is a trading name of Puddingpotlids Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14348309.
Registered office: 15 Neville Road, Richmond, England, TW10 7QJ

2. Ordering from us

When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket at the price shown at checkout. You will receive an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or listing error;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

3. Product descriptions

We try to describe and photograph our products accurately. Because bamboo is a natural material, colour, grain and finish may vary slightly between lids. These natural variations are not normally defects.

Pudding Pot Lids are designed to fit compatible glass dessert pots, including the compatible pot ranges identified on our website. Please check the current compatibility information before purchasing.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. The price payable is the price displayed at checkout when your order is placed. Any delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase. Payment is processed securely through the payment methods offered through our Shopify checkout.

5. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 5 days. UK orders are generally sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class, with proof of delivery where applicable, and are intended to arrive through your letterbox where the parcel dimensions allow. Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Your order remains our responsibility until it is delivered to you, or to another person or safe place that you have specifically nominated where the law treats delivery as completed. If your parcel is lost, arrives damaged or items are missing, please contact puddingpotlids@gmail.com and we will investigate and provide an appropriate replacement or refund. We may pursue any delivery claim with Royal Mail separately.

6. Changing your mind

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you will normally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods. Please contact puddingpotlids@gmail.com before returning an order.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are normally responsible for the cost of returning them. You may inspect the products as you reasonably would in a shop. We may make a deduction from the refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced the value of the goods.

Where applicable, refunds will also include the cost of our standard delivery option. Additional costs arising from a premium delivery method chosen by you do not have to be refunded beyond the standard-delivery amount.

Refunds will be processed in accordance with your statutory rights and normally no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or satisfactory evidence that they have been sent back. These provisions do not affect your rights if a product is faulty.

7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

Products must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose. If something arrives broken, damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at puddingpotlids@gmail.com.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, we may provide a replacement, repair, refund or other appropriate remedy. Nothing in these terms restricts your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law.

8. Product use & care

Our bamboo lids are intended for everyday household use with compatible glass pudding pots and ramekins.

Suitable uses

Pudding Pot Lids can be used to cover and organise compatible pots around the home. For secondary storage uses, we recommend dry, non-food household items such as:

  • buttons;
  • beads;
  • jewellery;
  • earrings;
  • coins;
  • paperclips;
  • screws;
  • sewing supplies;
  • craft supplies;
  • other small household items.

Material

The lids are made from bamboo and include a silicone sealing ring. Bamboo is a natural material, so grain, tone and finish can vary slightly.

Seal

The lids are designed to create a snug, airtight seal when correctly fitted to compatible pots. They are not intended for preservation of perishable goods or prolonged liquid storage.

Care

  • Hand wash only.
  • Do not soak.
  • Not dishwasher safe.
  • Dry after washing.
  • Do not use in a microwave.
  • Do not use in an oven.
  • Do not use in a freezer.

Using the product outside these instructions may damage the lid and can shorten its usable life.

9. Product compatibility

Compatibility information is provided in good faith using the products and pot ranges we have tested or otherwise verified. Packaging and pot designs from third-party manufacturers can change over time and are outside our control. Where compatibility is important, please check our latest compatibility guidance or contact us before purchasing.

Pudding Pot Lids is an independent business and is not the manufacturer of Gü, Pots & Co., Aldi, Lidl or M&S pudding pots. Any third-party names are used to describe product compatibility.

10. Liability

We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by misuse of a product, failure to follow the care instructions or use outside its intended purpose. However, nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

11. Website and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Pudding Pot Lids name, website design, photographs, written content, graphics and other original website materials belong to us or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

12. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes may have additional conditions. Unless we state otherwise:

  • discounts cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • codes may have an expiry date;
  • we may withdraw a promotion where there has been an obvious error or misuse;
  • only one discount may apply to an order where the checkout restricts combinations.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

14. Wholesale and business purchases

These consumer Terms & Conditions are primarily intended for retail customers. Wholesale or other business-to-business purchases may be subject to separate commercial terms agreed with us.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to an order are normally those in effect when that order was placed.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you and may have rights to bring proceedings in the courts where you live.

17. Contact

If you have questions about an order, these terms or a product, contact: puddingpotlids@gmail.com
