Who's behind this

We didn't set out to start a lid company.

Pudding Pot Lids started in 2021 in Hackney, London, with co-founders Jana Silver and Jess Tadbir and a cupboard problem neither of us could quite solve: too many empty Gü-style dessert pots, too nice to bin, no lid to make them useful for anything else. So we made one.

What we actually make

One product. Made to actually work.

  • A bamboo lid with a genuine airtight silicone seal: not a snap-fit plastic disc, not an elastic band and a saucer.
  • Fits the small glass dessert pots from Gü, Pots & Co., Aldi and M&S: one lid, four retailers, no guessing which one you've got.
  • Built for dry storage: jewellery, screws, craft bits, loose change, desk clutter. Not a food-storage claim; we're upfront about that.
  • Bamboo because it's a genuinely fast-growing, renewable material, stated once, not the whole pitch.

One relationship worth mentioning

We've even partnered with before.

It started with a pop-up cinema event, where their VIP party bags included Gü pots. Separately, they've sent us vouchers to pass on to our own customers. To be clear: these lids are an independent, unofficial accessory, not a Gü product, and we're not claiming an ongoing endorsement.

Somehow, this made the news

A handful of real, independently-published write-ups, no invented "as seen in" wall, just the ones we can actually point you to.
